As per the official notification CEN 09/2025, Railway Recruitment Boards have announced 22,195 vacancies for Level-1 (Group D) posts across all railway zones.

Vacancy Summary

- **Total Vacancies**: 22,195

- **Track Maintainer Grade-IV**: 8,500

- **Helper/Assistant in various departments**: 5,200

- **Assistant Pointsman**: 3,800

- **Gateman**: 2,100

- **Other Level-1 Posts**: 2,595

Salary / Pay Scale

- **Pay Level 1**: Rs. 18,000 per month (initial basic pay)

- **Gross Salary**: Rs. 22,000 – Rs. 25,000 per month (with allowances)

- **Benefits**: Railway pass, medical facilities, pension, DA, HRA

Eligibility

- **Educational**: 10th Pass + ITI from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute OR equivalent

- **Age**: 18-33 years (relaxation as per rules)

- **Nationality**: Indian citizen

Selection Process

1. **CBT (Computer Based Test)** — 100 marks, 90 minutes

2. **PET (Physical Efficiency Test)**:

- Male: 1000m run in 4 min 15 sec; lift & carry 35 kg for 100m in 2 min

- Female: 1000m run in 5 min 40 sec; lift & carry 20 kg for 100m in 3 min
