SSC CGL Salary 2026 – In-Hand Pay, Pay Scale & Allowances

SSC CGL posts are spread across Group B (Gazetted & Non-Gazetted) and Group C. Pay levels range from Level 4 to Level 8 depending on the post.

• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 8% / 16% / 24% of basic pay depending on city (X, Y, Z)
• Dearness Allowance (DA): ~50% of basic pay (revised every 6 months)
• Transport Allowance (TA): ₹1,350 – ₹3,600 + DA thereon

SSC CGL posts have excellent growth prospects. An Inspector (Level 7) can become Superintendent (Level 8) in 4–6 years, reaching ₹65,000–₹75,000 in-hand. Senior officers can reach Level 10–11 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) over a 15–20 year career.
